About Us ______Meyer Wildlife Creations

Bill started in high school by taking the hides off domestic and wild rabbits and with the addition of a deer horn or two, he made jack-a-lopes in Modoc County. He has had an interest in fishing and hunting. While working at laying floors he was injured, this allowed him to pursue his KID DREAM of taxidermy. With many books, working with other taxidermists he has been able to follow his dream. By learning from others and looking into new and better methods to produce a better and longer lasting product. Not many people can work at what was their hobby and change it over to making a living. He is presently working on a DVD on how to cape out a deer. Many hides have been ruined by Salting and then being put in the freezer. Salt melts ice and thus the hair will slip, thus the loss of the cape. Bill will answer any questions as this is the way he was able to learn.
